Memodyne questions and answers, by topic

53 questions, worded the way people type them. Filter by any word. Longer answers sit on the supplement facts, side effects and pricing pages, the nitric oxide question gets a full post in does nitric oxide help memory?, and scams are covered on is Memodyne legit.

Product basics: 6 questions

What is Memodyne?

A once-daily capsule dietary supplement sold as a "cognitive support formula" for focus, clarity and energy. A bottle holds 30 capsules, one month at the label dose.

Is Memodyne the same thing as Melodyne?

No. Melodyne is pitch-correction audio software from Celemony. Search engines often swap the names; the capsule supplement is spelled Memodyne.

Does Memodyne have caffeine or any stimulant in it?

No stimulant is on the label. The seven active lines are amino acids, niacin and calcium, so the word "energy" on the front does not mean a caffeine kick.

How do you take Memodyne?

One capsule a day with an 8 oz glass of water, ideally 20 to 30 minutes before a meal. The brand's site adds "preferably in the morning".

Who is Memodyne made for?

Adults who want a single daily capsule sold for focus. It is not a treatment for memory loss, dementia or any other condition.

What does "cognitive support formula" mean on a label?

It is a structure/function phrase, which supplements may print without FDA review. The asterisk leads to the statement that the FDA has not evaluated the claim.

The label: 7 questions

What are the ingredients in Memodyne?

Per capsule: niacin 7.5 mg NE, calcium 18 mg, L-arginine 200 mg, L-arginine AKG 2:1 200 mg, L-citrulline HCl 100 mg, L-citrulline malate 100 mg and beta alanine 40 mg.

How much arginine is in one Memodyne capsule?

Two lines weigh 400 mg together: 200 mg of plain L-arginine and 200 mg of arginine AKG. The real arginine is lower, because alpha-ketoglutarate makes up part of the second line.

What is L-arginine AKG 2:1?

Arginine bound to alpha-ketoglutarate, often sold as AAKG. It is one compound, not arginine plus a separate AKG pill, and it is not agmatine, a different substance.

Why are there two kinds of citrulline on the label?

Citrulline HCl and citrulline malate are two salt forms of the same amino acid, 100 mg each. Both carry extra weight, so the capsule holds under 200 mg of citrulline.

Does Memodyne use a proprietary blend?

No. Each of the seven lines prints its own amount, so nothing is tucked inside a blend total.

Why does the Memodyne website show only six ingredients?

Its ingredient section leaves out the 18 mg of calcium. The bottle lists all seven, and the bottle is what we follow.

What is the capsule itself made of?

Hypromellose, a vegetable capsule, plus vegetable stearate and silicon dioxide as the other ingredients.

Ingredients and evidence: 9 questions

Is there any research on Memodyne itself?

None that we could find. The sales page has a "Scientific References" strip of journal and newspaper logos, but it lists no study.

Does nitric oxide help memory?

No source we opened shows that. Arginine can become nitric oxide, which widens blood vessels, but that research is about blood pressure and exercise.

Is L-arginine good for memory or the brain?

One drug reference rates arginine for age-related memory loss as "Insufficient Evidence to Rate". Its other studies cover blood pressure, angina and exercise, at grams a day.

Does L-arginine cross the blood-brain barrier?

None of our sources answers that. They describe arginine in blood and blood vessels, at doses of 2 grams a day or more.

Citrulline vs arginine: which raises nitric oxide better?

The kidneys turn about 80% of the body's citrulline into arginine, and NIH says citrulline might raise nitric oxide markers in blood. Neither has been shown to help memory.

Does citrulline help brain fog?

Not in any source we read. Blood pressure trials used 3 to 9 g a day, and one consumer site mentions only an early "hint" for some dementias, without details.

What does beta alanine do for the brain?

It is studied for short, hard exercise at 4 to 6 g a day. A company-funded trial in older adults used 2.4 g a day and found no overall difference in thinking scores.

Is niacin linked to memory?

Only through severe deficiency, called pellagra, where memory loss is a symptom. The 7.5 mg NE here is about half an adult's daily need.

Do memory supplements actually work?

An expert panel convened by AARP found no supplement shown to prevent, slow or reverse cognitive decline. Its advice: save your money and put it toward healthy habits.

Safety: 6 questions

Does Memodyne have side effects?

No study of the product reports any. At gram doses the amino acids can upset the stomach or cause diarrhea; the amounts here are far smaller. Stop and call a doctor if something feels wrong.

Can I take Memodyne with blood pressure pills, nitrates or Viagra?

Ask your doctor first. Mayo Clinic says arginine with blood pressure drugs, nitrates or sildenafil may push blood pressure too low, and no source names a safe amount.

Is arginine safe after a heart attack?

Not without your cardiologist. In the VINTAGE MI trial, more people died on about 9 g of arginine a day than on placebo, and Mayo Clinic advises against it after a recent heart attack.

Can arginine make cold sores worse?

One drug-information source says there is a concern it might make herpes worse. If you get cold sores, check with a pharmacist first.

Will the niacin flush my skin or the beta alanine make me tingle?

Unlikely. Flushing usually starts at 30 to 50 mg of nicotinic acid and tingling at about 800 mg of beta alanine. The capsule has 7.5 mg and 40 mg.

Should Memodyne be used while pregnant or breastfeeding?

The label says pregnant or nursing women, anyone under 18 and people with a known medical condition should ask a physician first.

Results: 5 questions

How long does Memodyne take to work?

Nobody can say. The brand gives no study-based timeline, and the formula has never been tested in a trial. The 60-day refund window is the practical time to decide.

Will I notice anything on the first day?

Probably not. There is no stimulant to give a quick lift, and the amino acid amounts are a small share of the doses used in studies.

Can Memodyne clear brain fog?

No study shows it can. Medicine side effects, low vitamin B12 and thyroid problems can all affect memory, and a doctor can test for them.

What helps memory and focus, if not a pill?

Mayo Clinic lists physical activity, mental and social activity, staying organized, good sleep, a healthy diet and keeping health conditions in check.

When should memory problems go to a doctor?

When they disrupt daily life, keep getting worse or worry a relative. Getting lost in a familiar place is a reason to book a visit soon.

Buying: 8 questions

What does Memodyne cost per bottle?

$79 each for 2 bottles ($158 plus $9.99 shipping on the order pages), $69 each for 3 ($207) and $49 each for 6 ($294). The checkout total is final.

How much is that per day?

About $2.63 a day on 2 bottles, $2.30 on 3 and $1.63 on 6, before any shipping charge.

Does shipping cost extra?

Not on 3 or 6 bottles in the US. The brand says orders ship within 48 hours and arrive in 3 to 5 business days; the carrier is not named.

Will I be billed for Memodyne every month?

The brand's FAQ says it is a one-time order with no renewals. Some order pages still show a "Subscribe & Save" monthly box, so leave it unticked.

Can I buy Memodyne on Amazon or in a store?

We found no store or marketplace named on the brand's pages. They sell through their own order pages, which is where our buttons lead.

Which free e-books come with 3 or 6 bottles?

Five titles with stated values adding to $255. The brand's download pages deliver only four; Sleep Live Better is missing.

What are the offers that appear after I pay?

Upsell pages: more bottles (6 for $114, or 12 for $348 or $228) and a page for another product, Flora Zen. Each one can be declined.

What is the crossed-out $179 price?

A reference price on the order page. Nothing shows anyone paid it, so we never call the gap a saving.

Guarantee: 5 questions

Is there a money-back guarantee on Memodyne?

Yes, 60 days. The brand's main pages count from the purchase date and its terms count from delivery, so ask which one covers your order.

Can I return opened bottles?

The brand's pages disagree. One allows only sealed bottles minus a 20% restocking fee; another wants every bottle back, empty or not. Get your rule in writing.

Must I use it for 30 days before asking for a refund?

The home page mentions "at least 30 days of use". Contact the desk early anyway, so the 60-day window does not run out while you wait.

Who pays to mail the bottles back?

You do, according to the brand's FAQ and returns pages, and that postage is not refunded. Use tracking and keep the receipt.

How long until the refund reaches my card?

The brand's terms say refunds are processed in 3 to 5 business days. Its FAQ page says 5 to 10 business days to appear on a statement.

Trust: 7 questions

Is Memodyne legit or a scam?

It is a real capsule with a printed label and a working checkout. The weak spots are claims that outrun the label, an unnamed maker, conflicting refund rules and the upsell pages.

Is this the Memodyne official website?

This is memodynefocus.com, run by Memodynefocus, a retail desk. Orders go through the brand's own site, memodyne.com. Look-alike domains such as getmemodyne.com and memo-dyne.com are not ours.

Did Maria Shriver endorse Memodyne?

Not on any page we opened. A scam report about fake Maria Shriver videos named a different product, so treat any celebrity clip selling it as unverified.

Is Memodyne approved by the FDA?

No. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements before sale, and the label prints the statement that its claims were not evaluated.

Who manufactures Memodyne?

No factory is named. The label lists Gex Corporation LLP of Ogden, Utah, as distributor and says the capsules are made in the USA.

Are the Memodyne reviews online real?

We have no verified reviews yet, so we show none. Many "review" pages are paid or affiliate posts; our reviews page explains the difference.

Is memodyne.online the same seller?

We cannot confirm who runs it. A paid press release calls it the official site, and it is not operated by us.
